DAVIES -- Emlyn Davies, 97, originally from Wales and a resident of New Mexico since the 1930s, died Thursday, January 6, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Davies of Albuquerque; children, Keith Davies and wife, B.J. of Denver, CO, Leonard Davies and wife, Susan of Durango, CO, Rick Davies and wife, Karen Hildebrand of Plattsburgh, NY and Carol Stephens and husband, Steve of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Joan Raborn of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Miles, Tristan, Robert, and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Emlyn, Olivia, and Harrison; and brother, Billy Davies of Swansea, Wales. Mr. Davies was a member of the Welsh Society. He was also a member of Cristo De Valle Presbyterian Church where he was a soloist with the choir. Mr. Davies was the owner of New Mexico Redi-Spuds. Services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Rev. Carl Boaz officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
