TORRES -- Eva S. Torres, age 91, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on December 30, 2004. Eva was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Legion of Mary, Third Order, and Sacred Heart Society. She also enjoyed meeting her friends at the Senior Citizens Center. Eva is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John S. Torres and one grandson, Moses Torres. She is survived by her children, Abram S. Torres and his wife, Patsy, Peter Torres and his wife, Gloria, Genevieve and her husband, Deacon Robert Sanchez, Jose Eugene Torres and his wife, Maria Flor. She was the proud and loving grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2 at Romero Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Monday, January 3 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place following the service at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Sanchez, Mark Torres, John Torres, Jose Torres, Lawrence Torres and Teles Sanchez. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
