MORA -- Manuel M. Mora (also known as Manuelito and Manny) died December 8, 2004. He was born December 29, 1925 to Adelita and Transito Mora. Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine Mora; four children, Terry Sanchez and husband John, Phyllis (Mena) Aragon and husband Ron, Gerard Mora and wife Bonnie, and Josephine Crespin and husband Joe; 15 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Apodaca and husband, George; two brothers, Rudy Mora and wife, Maxine and Roberto Mora and wife, Crusita; one aunt, Lena Montoya; and one uncle, Juan Mora. Manuel is also survived by many loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, compadres, hijados and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Lita Herrera. Manuel served in the United States Navy during World War II and during the Korean War. He retired from the Civil Service at Kirtland Air Force Base. Manuel also worked as a State Fair Police Officer and as a bank security guard. He was a member of St. Ignacio Church, the Escobosa Riders Club, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pall bearers for the service will be Manuel's grandsons, Anthony Sanchez, Jared Mora, Joshua Aragon, Aaron Aragon, Joseph Crespin, and Bobby T. Mora. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, December 12, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at San Ignacio Church, 1300 Walter NE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 13, 2004 at San Ignacio Church, Father Eugene McLaughlin officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
