CHAMNESS -- Earl D. Chamness, 80, a resident of Rio Rancho, died on December 6, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Grace Chamness, whom he married on June 5, 1946 in Pierre, SD; children, Annette Stith and husband, John of Colorado Springs, CO, Melanie Eads and husband, Larry of Houston, TX, Michele McCain and, Wayne Godin of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Gregory and Christopher Hill, Michael Blaha and wife, Renee, Deborah Jones and husband, Mark and Ryan Blaha and wife, Angela; great grandchildren, Joshua, Gabriel and Christopher Blaha and Michelle, Caitlin and Christian Jones and Ling Shan Hill; brother, Gary Chamness of Stockton, CA; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Thelma Vallery and husband, Russell of Stockton, CA. Earl is preceded in death by one son, Michael George Chamness and one daughter, Clare Margaret Chamness. Earl was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #8078, in Boulder City, NV and a member of the Elks Club in Rio Rancho #2500 and also a member of the VFW #5890. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E. #2500, and a former Post Commander of the American Legion. Earl was a long time member of the Civil Air Patrol. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 1502 Sara Rd. NSE, Rio Rancho. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300
