BENSON -- Mary Frances Benson "Ponch"- Loving Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 after a short illness. Her husband, parents, a brother and sister, and a daughter, Lila, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Marylee Romero and husband Ernesto from El Rito, Phillip Benson and wife Nancy, William Benson, Rodney Benson and wife Cindy, all of Albuquerque; two brothers, Ernie and Toby Herrera; four sisters, Beatrice Herrera, Lillian Medina, Mary Martinez, and Margaret Herrera; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with one on the way, Orlando and wife Patrica, Veronica, Eliseo, and Augustine Romero, Raul, Lila, and Christian Benson, Dominic and Jonathan, Allison, Melissa, Jolene, and Joseph Benson, Antonio and Angelita Romero, Isaiah Maestas, and Damien. Love and appreciation go out to those who have given their love and support during our time of sorrow. We are forever thankful for your kind words and presence.
