LOGAN -- Frank A. Logan, age 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died on November 18, 2004. He is survived by his spouse, Julia A., to whom he was married in 1948; his son, Frank A. Logan III of Albuquerque; his daughter, Nancy A. Logan-Garver of San Antonio, TX; by 3 granddaughters, and 5 great grandchildren. He was born and raised in Florida and served 3 years in the Medical Corps during World War II. He received a PHD from the University of Iowa in 1951 and taught at Yale University until 1964 when he came to the University of New Mexico as Chair of the Psychology Department. He resigned as Chair in 1975, and retired in 1989 after which the Psychology Building at UNM was named in his honor. He continued to be active in research in the field of learning/motivation until the time of his death. Memorial donations may be made to the Quad-L Library Trust, UNM Psychology Dept., Logan Hall, Albuquerque, NM. 87131, MSC-032220. Cremation is at Vista Verde Memorial Park, arranged by Sunrise Funeral Options. There will be a Memorial Service at the UNM Alumni Chapel on December 3, at 11:30 am.
