VANDERFORD -- Lucille "Lucy" Vanderford, 72, loving mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt, and dearest friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 31, 2004 at her home in Bernalillo. She was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph and John; and her brothers, Don and Doug. She is survived by her son, Bill; and three daughters, Sophia, Sherry, and Holly; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She also left behind her cat, Chico and her bird. Lucille was born on Febuary 16, 1932 in Carlsbad, NM to Daniel and Minnie Calhoun. Lucille's passion in life was her family. She was the best mother & grandmother that ever walked the earth!! Her key to happiness was to make other people happy, which she did with her beautiful smile and laugh. As everyone that was touched by Lucille knows that life will not be the same without her. God sent for his beautiful angel and we had to let her go. Services will be held on Thursday, November 4 at The Bernalillo Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m.
