HOFFMAN -- Marion Hoffman, 81, loving mother and grandmother, beloved sister and dearest friend, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2004. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Hoffman. Marion was born Saturday, December 16, 1922 in Melbourne, Australia. She and Fred were married during WWII and were married for 57 years. She left her family in Australia to join her husband in the United States and did not return to her homeland until more than 40 years later. She was very proud of the day she became an American citizen and carried a deep and genuine love for her adopted country. She enjoyed playing contract bridge and attained the coveted status of "Life Master." She was also involved in her community and church for many years. Her passion in life was her family. She dedicated every day of her existence to the well-being of her five children and eleven grandchildren. They will unanimously concede that she was "The Best Mother and grandmother that ever walked the Earth!!" Marion is survived by her five children, Dennis Hoffman, Karen Edwards and husband Bob, Laurel Moore Clinch and husband Jim, all of Albuquerque; Dr. Bruce Hoffman, Paul Hoffman and wife Suzy, all of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; her eleven grandchildren, Michelle Sandoval, Brian Moore and wife Melissa, Melanie Nellos and husband Strat, Matthew, Eric and Zachary Edwards, Luke and Nathan Hoffman, and Joshua, John, and Paul Hoffman; sisters, Norma Fowler and Kathleen Christensen of Fremantle, Australia; and four great-grandchildren. Marion knew that the key to happiness was to make other people happy...and that is what she did in countless ways. Her seemingly endless capacity to love will live on in her children, grandchildren and all who knew her. And we will use her favorite salutation now to bid her farewell..."Ta-Ta Love." Services will be held Thursday, November 4th, 2004, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Deacon Pilar Garcia officiating. Private disposition will take place. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, November 3, 2004, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Casa Angelica, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW, 87105.
