MARTINEZ -- Manuel R. Mr. Manuel R. Martinez, 80, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 19, 2004. Mr. Martinez is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Martinez, married for fifty eight years; five children, Mary DeMarcus and husband, James, Anita Montoya, Judy Molina and husband, Leroy, Veronica Montoya and husband, Casper and Daniel Martinez; four sisters, Frances Ferris, Bessie Saavedra and husband, Albert, Gloria Romero, and Della Martinez; one brother, Joseph Franklin Martinez and wife, Esther; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Felix Martinez; and his two grandsons, Martin Adrian (Buddy) Montoya and Michael Anthony (Tiger) Martinez, Jr. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the US Army serving during WWII, 58+year member of United Association of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 412. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mr. Luis Molina. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Daniel Balizan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James R. DeMarcus, Frederick Montoya, John Martinez, Felix Martinez, Luis Molina, and Casper Montoya III.
