LAWSON -- Beatrice Lawson, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2004. She was born January 5, 1920 in Quanah, TX. Beatrice was retired from Blake's Lotaburger after 17 years as manager. She was a loving, kind mother and grandmother to all her of family and everyone that she met along her way. She will be greatly missed in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, W .E. Lawson; daughter, Rose Marie Lovato; and grandson, Paul Lovato, Jr. Beatrice is survived by her son, Bobby L. Lawson of Albuquerque; daughter- in-law, Danna Lawson of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Debbie Lemons and husband, Marty of Dumas, TX; grandson, Robert Lovato of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Christina Lawson Torrez and husband, Jose of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Angela Lawson McDevitt and husband, Michael of Broomfield, CO; grandson, Freddie Chavez of Albuquerque; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Porter Steffey of Del Rio, TX; sister, Jewel Graham of Dallas, TX; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Services in Albuquerque will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Lomas and Morningside NE, beginning with a viewing on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 6:45 p.m., followed by the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Services in Amarillo, TX, will take place at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in Amarillo, TX, on Saturday, October 9, 2004 with a viewing beginning at10:00 a.m., followed by the Committal Service and burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Torrez, James Storey, Michael McDevitt, Sean Torrez, and Freddie Chavez. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be in Beatrice's name to Bobby Lawson for the study of Perilateral Sclerosis, a motor neuron dysfunction: Bobby Lawson, PO Box 25065 Albuquerque, NM. 87125-5065 .
