VOLDEN -- Ethel Schwartzman Volden, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away September 29, 2004 at home after a short illness. She is survived by her son, Alfred H. Volden, wife Hilary and a very special young man in her life, her grandson, Evan S. Volden. Her brother, J.C. Schwartzman, wife Sue and sister-in-law Gertrude Schwartzman Rathgeber, husband Don. Her nephew, Gary Schwartzman and nieces, Charlene Agenbroad, DeeDee Schwartzman and Jo Schwartzman. Many grand-nephews, -nieces, great-grand-nieces and -nephews with each one being very dear to her. Along with her cousins and many friends. Her husband, Harold O Volden, parents, Joseph C. and Fleecy Schwartzman, brother Alfred L. Schwartzman preceded her in death. Ethel was born July 2, 1921 in Albuquerque. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1938 and Browning Business College. She spent her entire career working in the family business, Schwartzman Packing Company and Schwartzman Inc. She was a past member of the Pilot Club International. The family wishes to thank Vernita McKinney, Diana Rodriguez and Presbyterian Hospice for their loving care. The family would also like to express our appreciation to all her friends who lent support to us at this time. Memorial services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Art Marquez officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephew and grand-nephews, Robert L. Riley, Russell Agenbroad, John M. Eaves, Flavio T. Garcia, Jack Sichler, Roger R. Goicoechea and Richard McCool, Sr. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ethel ' s name to the Susan G.
