RANFTLE -- Dorothy Ranftle made her transition on Tuesday, September 21, 2004. Born April 4, 1916 in Cold Springs, NY to Earl and Vera Pardee-Hall. She graduated from Yonkers High School in June of 1934. Married Walter J. Ranftle in May of 1941, at Saint John's Church, Long Island City, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 10, 1965 and a sister, Mildred Matheny. She is survived by a son, Robert W. Ranftle and wife, Ann e of Metaire, LA; daughter, Lois B. Ranftle of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Damon, Amy and Chad; great-grandchild, Devon and sister, Edith Anderson of Coca Beach, FL. Dorothy lived in New York for 80 years and worked as an addressograph operator at Bulk Mailing Services in Mt. Vernon, NY. She lived in Albuquerque for eight years and loved the people, scenery and weather. She participated in the La Amistad Senior Citizen Center in Martineztown and Share Your Care Adult Day Care in the North Valley and Bear Canyon. Dorothy has donated (gifted) her body to Medical Sciences at UNM Medical School. Memorial services will be held at First Church of Religious Science, 3320 San Pedro NE (between Candelaria and Comanche) on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Zia Hospice, 505-830-2978.
