GARLINGTON -- Jerry Wayne Garlington, 63, of Bloomfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior, JesusChrist at home, Thursday, September 16, 2004 in Bloomfield. He was born February 22, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Clint and Ethel Garlington. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, William Clinton Garlington, his wife of 44 years, Jeanette Garlington and a brother, Robert Garlington. He is survived by his mother, Ethel; two sons, Dwayne Garlington and wife, Linda of Rio Rancho, NM and Doug Garlington and wife, Angela of Bloomfield; a brother, Lloyd of Muleshoe, TX and a sister, Sandra Edge of Bloomfield. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jeremy, Benjamin, Katie and Nathan. Jerry moved from Houston to this area in 1973 and was employed by Giant Refinery in Bloomfield for 29 years. He loved his family and church and was an avid gun collector. Visitation for Jerry will be held on Sunday, September 19th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 20th at The Oasis, 1601 N. Dustin, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Joslin officiating.
