GARCIA -- Juan S. Garcia, 99, passed away at home Friday, September 17, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elena; his son, Juanito Garcia and wife, Alice; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Juan was born in Las Animas, Colorado and moved to San Luis, NM at the age of 4. He was a cattle and sheep rancher in New Mexico for many years and throughout his lifetime of 99 years, he was a witness to many historical events. A Rosary will be recited in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Monday, September 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be celebrated at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th and Alameda NW., on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Carlos Cemetery on Alameda.
