COPELAND -- Maurine Galloway Copeland, 86, a 13-year resident of Roswell, formerly of Albuquerque, passed away, Tuesday, September 14, 2004. She was born January 28, 1918 in Oklahoma to Ira and Winnie (Pirtle) Hendricks. Maurine was a member of the Church of Christ Riverside & Church of Christ Roswell. She is survived by two step-sons, Shelby Copeland and his wife, Sharon and Kilby Copeland and his wife, Jan, both of Albuquerque; two sisters and two brothers, Nadine Shannon, Hazel Holland, Earl Hendricks, and Charles Hendricks, all of Roswell; seven grandchildren: Todd, Jarred, Steven, Glen, Kenny, David, and Jason; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edison Galloway in 1969 and by her second husband, Norman Copeland in 1988; sons, Trueman in 1968 and Leslie in 1981; two brothers, Howard and Jack; and a sister, Virgie. Visitation will be from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald & Son. Funeral Services will be held at Church of Christ Riverside, 3100 La Orilla NW at 1:00 p.m. Internment will take place at Sunset Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ Children's Home, Portales, NM. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Church of Christ, Roswell.
