VELASQUEZ -- Ernest "Ernie" S. Velasquez, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Chavez and husband, Ernest A. and Toni Velasquez, all of Albuquerque, and Dorothy Montano of Rio Rancho; son, Juan Velasquez and wife, Yvonne of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Denise Cruz and husband, Alex, Ramyann Forrest and husband, Jeff, Aprilyn Chavez, Melissa Apodaca and husband, Speedy, and Carlos Velasquez; six great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Logan (Jose Pinos), Jacquelyn, Santiago, Destino, and Matias; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Braulia in 2001; son, Ernest Velasquez Jr; son-in-law, Jose Montano; and several brothers and sisters. Ernie worked for Hydro-Conduit Corporation from 1958 until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and gardening. Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 9, 2004, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Florence Quintana reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 10, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lomas at Tennessee Blvd. NE, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt.
