LEEPS -- Kenneth Michael Leeps, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2004. He was born on September 30, 1955 in Des Moines, IA to Kenneth and Minnie Pinkerton Leeps. Ken came to New Mexico in 1985 from Iowa Falls, IA and had worked as a pipeline worker for a natural gas company. Ken was proud to have been a Boy Scout Star Award recipient, was a member of Disciples of Christ, and a member of the University Christian Church in Des Moines, IA. He was a Sci-Fi writer with his works published, and an avid Sci-Fi fan. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Leeps; sister, Angela Leeps; and his grandmother, Ida Pinkerton. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Leeps of Albuquerque; sister, Mary De Curtis of Rio Rancho; brothers, Paul Leeps and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque, and Mark Leeps and wife, Lisa of Gainsville, FL; his nieces and nephews, Shannon Leeps, Travis De Curtis, Tyler Leeps, Melissa Leeps, Michael Leeps, Mary Leeps, Tatum De Curtis, Jeni Leeps, and Justin Leeps; and many other friends and loved ones who will deeply miss him.
