WILLIAMS -- Flora L. Williams, 98, a resident of Albuquerque, NM and formerly Las Cruces, NM, completed her earthly journey at 11:20 am on Saturday, August 21, 2004 and is now with her Lord. She was born Thursday, October 5, 1905 in Byers, OK to the late James and Nellie Page. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. N. Williams; four sisters, Zora McBeth, Nora Thompson, Lennie Millage, and Jewel Cheatam; one brother, Wesley Page; and one grandson, John Mathew Towne. She is survived by two sons, Jack Towne and wife, Frankie, of Hot Springs Village, AR and John Towne and wife, Linda; one granddaughter, Janet Berry and husband, David; two grandsons, Jeffrey M. Towne and wife, Jennifer and Jason Towne; two great-grandsons, James Towne and wife, Erica and Ryan Berry; one great-granddaughter, Alysa Berry, all of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Katie Holloway of Roswell, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Christian Church of Las Cruces, NM since 1944. Her rock solid faith has influenced many throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Church Women United, Christian Women's Fellowship and worked many hours at the Christian Day Nursery. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at the First Christian Church.
