CERVANTES -- Frances A. Cervantes, born January 29, 1941, in Gallup, NM, went home to the Lord on July 12, 2004 after a long battle with cancer. She was employed at MAC's La Sierra Family Restaurant for many years. She is survived by a son, Floyd Lopez Sr.; a grandson, Floyd Lopez Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, of Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by her father, Joe E. Cervantes and wife, (step-mother) Betty Cervantes, of Blue water, NM; five sisters, Viola M. Cervantes DeBoard, of Dayton, OH, Irene Sena, Dora Lajuenenesse, Phyllis Blea, and Dolores M. Vigil, all of Albuquerque, NM; four brothers, Gerald V. Cervantes of Gallup, NM, Steven Cervantes, John Cervantes, and Anthony Cervantes, and their families, all from Albuquerque, NM; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. The family of Frances A. Cervantes would appreciate it very much if you would honor their request: in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the University of New Mexico Hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
