GARCIA -- Velma Garcia passed away on July 18, 2004 at the age of 51. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Garcia; their three children, Vanessa Romero and husband, Lawrence Romero, Paul Garcia Jr., and Sarah Garcia; and four grandchildren, Mercedes "Tishy" Garcia, Lynae Garcia, Lorenzo Romero, and Marcus Romero; two brothers, Joe Chavez and wife, Annie Chavez, Richard Chavez and wife, Margie Chavez; one sister, Criselda Zamora and husband, Edwin Zamora; and many other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Romero, Lawrence Chavez, Daniel Garcia, Fransico Garcia, Edwin Zamora II, David Montoya, and alternate pallbearer, Manuelito Baldonado. There was a viewing Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church, the rosary will follow, at 7:00 p.m. A second viewing will be held, Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, with a Mass starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetary.
