DARR -- Harry Lawrence Darr, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born January 17, 1927 to Walter and Gertrude (Eaton) Darr in Socorro, NM. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War and was retired from the Physical Plant at the University of New Mexico. Harry is preceded in death by his wife, Isabel (Macias) Darr; brothers: Nestor and Walter Darr Jr.; sisters: Evelyn Salome and Claudine Nichols. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Claudia Darr and her son, Dukie Darr of Albuquerque; nieces and nephews: Barbara and Leroy Baca of Gallup, NM; Sylvia and Jimmy Romano of Houston, TX; JoAnn and Nick Sais of Socorro; George and Helen Salome of Las Cruces, NM; Jeanette and Sam Atencio of Socorro; Bernice and James D'Agostino of Portales, NM; Pat Salome and Melissa Thomas of Socorro; Anton and Moniqua Salome of Socorro; a family friend, Marcie Brayboy of Socorro; and many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father John C. Daniel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Sam Atencio, Nick Sais, Pat Salome, Anton Salome, James D'Agostino, and Leroy Baca. Honorary Pallbearers are: Claude Arnold, Larry Martinez, Vincent Pino, and George Salome. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
