WAVRA -- John (Jack) Wavra, 90, passed away on July 6, 2004 in Albuquerque. He was born on July 2, 1914 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Wenzel and Kattie Oetiker Wavra. He moved to Albuquerque in 1951 where he owned and operated Albuquerque Battery Company, retiring in 1978. He is preceded in death by his wife, Willys. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2004 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass and interment will be at the Chapel of Gate of Heaven at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2004, with Father O'Connor officiating. A Memorial contribution may be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association New Mexico Chapter, 8100 Mountain Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
