DICKENS -- John "Pete" Dickens, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, June 28, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Dickens of Albuquerque; daughter, Gwen Zollars and husband, Chuck of Abilene, TX; sons, John W. Dickens, Jr. and wife, Jeanne Banks of Placitas, and Dr. Owen Dickens and wife, Jenny of Wilmore, KY, and Rev. Barry Dickens and wife, Susan of Los Alamos, NM; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Dickens was retired from the USAF as a Lt. Colonel. Pete was a deacon and usher at Hoffmantown Church. He was a member of Gideon's International. Pete enjoyed his work with stained glass windows and was especially proud of a piece he created for Noonday Ministries. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Dr. Roy Elmore and Rev. Barry Dickens officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Noonday Ministry, P.O.
