STUMP -- Raymond David Stump, age 16, was born January 19, 1988. He was a resident of Belen and peacefully joined our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. Raymond was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belen. He was the best son, grandson, nephew and friend anyone could wish for. Although his time on earth was too short, he touched all who met him. His love for learning and education were unsurpassed as he lived with childhood Muscular Dystrophy and succumbed to congestive heart failure. Raymond was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan and wished he could have been on their team someday. He cherished his friends and family and loved to make them laugh with silly phrases and jokes. Raymond is survived by his parents, Arlene Stump and Jim Hernandez; his grandparents, Arley and Shirley Stump; his uncle, Arley Stump and wife, Marsha; their children, Brett and Brianne; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved and will miss him. His family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. All services will be held at First Baptist Church of Belen, 401 Becker, on Saturday, June 26, 2004. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow the services at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. Pallbearers will Daniel Romero, Colin Schneider, Dwayne Gonzales, Ryan Stanton and Andres Saez. Honorary pallbearers are Nita Gwynne, Glenda Jaramillo, Jovan Gabaldon, Brett Peterson, and Tony Perez. In lieu of flowers, contributions, to help defray costs, are requested to be made to either the Raymond Stump Determination Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank or to Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, handling the arrangements.
