JOHNSON -- Vita A. Johnson, age 72, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home by our Heavenly Father and Savior, early Friday morning, June 11, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband John Johnson in 1987; her parents, Ambrose and Conception Avila. Vita is survived by two sons, Michael and Ambrose Martinez; four grandchildren, Rachel and Monica Martinez, Jackie Paredes, and Melissa Medina; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Carson, Conchita San Roman, and Ruth Calderon; close friend, Frank Guevara and family; numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends. Vita will be greatly missed by her family. Visitations will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. till the time of rosary at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Bernalillo; where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron San Roman, Marc San Roman, Benjamin Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Robert Gallegos, and John Medina.
