TERRELL -- James Arthur Terrell, born October 17, 1929 passed away on May 22, 2004 doing what he most loved, driving his RV in the desert southwest visiting his children. Jimmie's colorful past included the noteworthy service to our country having had the privilege of being in four branches of the military. After a short stint in the Army Jimmie earned his pilot wings in the Navy. He continued his flying career with the Maine Corp and Air Force National Guard. He was activated in 1968 with the NMNG and went to Korea where he was a FAC, Forward Air Controller, directing air strikes for the Republic of Korea Army. On his return to New Mexico Jimmie resumed his job at the FAA, Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. His retirement from the FAA provided Jimmie with time to continue his flying experience piloting everything from small aircraft to hand guilders and ultra lights. His love for the southwest brought joy in his RV and he spent weeks in the desert. Jimmie T as his friends at AA knew him would have been 30 years old in June. It was the AA that brought Jimmie back into his children's lives. He is survived by his five children, Herbert A. Terrell of Navarre, FL, Marguerite L.
