TRUJILLO -- Archie Alexio Trujillo "Arch the Sarge", 77, died May 20, 2004. Archie is preceded in death by his son, Alex Trujillo and great-granddaughter, Logan Lynn Brakhahn. He is survived by Annie, his wife of 57 years; his daughters, Arlene Martinez and husband, Frank, Elizabeth Mares and husband, James, Patricia Trujillo and husband, Dennis Lowe, Dodie Medrano and husband, Tony, favorite daughter, Archiann Trujillo and honorary daughter, Rebecca Sitterly; a sister, Mary Helen Gonzales; brothers, Joe Trujillo, Fred Trujillo and wife, Stella, and Ben Trujillo and wife, Frances. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and nine and three-fourths great-grandchildren. Archie served in the United States Army in WW II and is retired from the National Guard and Kirtland Air Base. He was a very proud member of the Sunport Optimist Club of Albuquerque. Archie loved his Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed "working" at the casinos during his retirement years. Archie was a wonderful husband, daddy, grandpa, "papacinco", and brother. Archie will continue his legacy through his childrens' childrens' children. We love you so much "mi negro', daddy, grandpa and "Arch the Sarge", but we know you are in God's hands and now in perfect health. You will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 23, at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 24, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos NW. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 25 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Inurnment will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 26, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
