WHEELER -- Wray Lee Wheeler, 68, was born in Ganado, AZ, to Lon and Lewis Wheeler, August 17, 1935. He went home to the Lord May 9, 2004. Wray was a 23-year resident of Las Vegas, NV and is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Lee Wheeler; two children, Michael and Karen Wheeler, of Las Vegas; brother, Leon Wheeler; and sisters, Ilene Wheeler and Irene Crow. Wray called a number of places home. He was an accomplished businessman, who successfully owned and operated a variety of businesses throughout his life. He was a beloved friend to many and his absence will leave a hole in many hearts and an emptiness in many lives. His legacy is the major influence he had in the lives of the nieces, nephews and friends who considered him a father figure and a mentor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation. A memorial celebration of his life will be held in Albuquerque at a later date.
