WARD -- Kathryn "Kay" Allyne (Moore) Ward died on May 11, 2004. Kay was born on July 18, 1919 in Frontier County, Nebraska. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William ("Bill") Thomas Ward of Albuquerque; two sisters, Sara Lu Collier of Decatur, IN and Virginia Holzer of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Perry Moore and wife, Edna of Albuquerque; one daughter, Melody and husband Perry Baird of Albuquerque; one son, Tom and wife, Catherine of Athens, TX; four grandsons, Scott and wife, Olga of Nyack, NY, Jeremy and wife, Ginger of Pinebush, NY, Matt and wife, Elizabeth of Whidbey Island, WA, and Jonathan of Albuquerque; three granddaughters, Brandy and husband, Josh Landers of Oklahoma City, OK, Bethany and husband, Oscar Comancho of Albuquerque, and Elizabeth of Dallas, TX; two great-grandsons, Dimitri and Nathan; and four great-granddaughters, Katie, Jasmine, Callie and Jayde. Kay and Bill were residents of Albuquerque from 1950 to 1973 and moved back from Arizona in 1998. Kay was a school teacher at Sandia Base Elementary in the 1960's and a partner with her husband, Bill, in several successful businesses in Albuquerque and Arizona. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Oscar Camacho, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho, NM. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kay's name to the New Mexico Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Road, NE, Suite 102, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
