VOGT -- Evon "Vogtie" Zartman Vogt of Cambridge, MA on May 13, 2004. Professor Emeritus and former Chairman of the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Catherine C. "Nan" Hiller Vogt, his children: the Countess Shirley Vogt Teleki and her husband, Count Geza Teleki of Toronto, Evon "Terry" Z. Vogt, III and his wife, Mary, of San Francisco, CA and Costa Rica, Eric Edwards Vogt and his wife, Robin Grumman-Vogt, of Belmont and Charles Anthony Vogt and his wife, Sherry of Quinto Ecuador ; his grandchildren: Count Kristian Teleki, Maya Teleki, Ethan Vogt, Tyler Vogt and Bennett Vogt; great grandgrandsons: Soren, Andrew, Wilder and Oliver; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Vogt Mallery and an aunt, Mrs. Katherine Vogt Sayre, both of Santa Fe. NM. A memorial service will be held on September 17th at three o'clock at Memorial Church at Harvard University. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corpus of Maya Hieroglyphic Inscriptions, Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University, 11 Divinity Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138.
