STAGG -- John B. Stagg, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, May 11, 2004. John was born in Gainsborough, England on February 4, 1913, to Harry James and Sarah Emma Stagg. He married his sweetheart, Dorothy Elizabeth Drew in the Salt Lake Temple, on June 26, 1935. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy and their four children; John D. and Suzzanne Stagg, Julie Ann and Gary Dunn, William James and Judy Stagg, and David and Angela Stagg. He leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren. John worked for Dixon Paper in Salt Lake City and Albuquerque for 38 years, retiring here in Albuquerque in 1977. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving as a missionary in England. Later he served on the High Council, Bishop of the East Stratford Ward in Salt Lake for six years and as Stake Mission President. John was loved deeply by his family and the many friends that he enjoyed throughout his life. He always had a ready handshake to show his love and concern for everyone he met. Services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Eubank Chapel, Sandia Ward at 12:00 p.m. Visitors may pay their respects one hour prior to services, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
