MURPHY -- Willard "J.W." Murphy, 86, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1980, died on May 6, 2004. He is survived by his son, Willard "Bud" Murphy and wife, Mary of Mosier, OR; daughter, Madeleine Padilla and husband, Cleofas of Corrales, NM; grandchildren, Mariposa Padilla-Sivage and husband, Kelly of Albuquerque, Alegra Bishop and husband, Brandon of Camp Verde, AZ, Vanessa Szanto and husband, David of Flagstaff, AZ, Laura Murphy of Albuquerque and Andrew Murphy of Mosier, OR; sister, Sue Bruce of Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Faye Murphy and one brother, William Murphy. Willard was a member of the Norte Dame Alumni Association. He was an Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Willard was a wonderful grandfather and was loved by his children and grandchildren and will be missed dearly. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, 460 Corrales Rd. with Father Galli, celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
