SANCHEZ -- Carlotta Pino Sanchez IN LOVING MEMORY Carlotta Pino Sanchez October 6, 1916 - April 16, 2004 Carlotta Pino Sanchez, 87, passed away on Friday April 16, 2004 in Frankenmuth, Michigan, following a long battle with her health. Carlotta was born in La Cienega, New Mexico, to Elfego Pino and Imelda Baca Pino. She grew up near Santa Fe and settled in Los Angeles with her husband where they raised their six children. After moving to Los Angeles she always called Los Angeles home. After raising her six children and slowly going blind in the early 1950's she showed remarkable courage by receiving training as a medical transcriber. She began her career at the VA hospital in Santa Monica, CA. which required taking four buses to work daily. She retired from the VA hospital after fifteen years. Since suffering a stroke in 1991, she spent ten months in Los Angeles, nine and a half years in Albuquerque and two years in Frankenmuth, MI where she passed away. Her husband Ramon Sanchez preceded her in death in September 1969. She is survived by her six children, Edward and wife Carole, Leonard and wife Maria, Bernard and wife Rebecca, Loretta, Priscilla Sanchez Kanthack and husband Steven, and John. She also leaves behind siblings Bea Cochran, Jessie Montoya, Fabiola Salazar and her husband Joe, Pete Pino and Rita Vargas and her husband Julio. Grandchildren Paul, Diane, Ramon, Alicia and her husband Craig, Gabriela, Lenny, Tony, George, Richard, Tina, Michael and Bryan. Step Grandchildren Bill, Tom who preceded her in death. Step Great Grandchildren Cierra, Gage, Hailey and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Mom we love you and will always miss you. The veil that has blocked your sight for so many years has been lifted. With no more aches and pains, how wonderful everything must seem to you now. Guide us with your love that we may pass it on to our children and then to their children as you have to us. Frankenmuth Funeral arrangements made by Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth will take place with a private viewing from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, a public viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 and Mass at 11:00 AM at Blessed Trinity Church on April 20th, 2004 in Frankenmuth MI. Albuquerque Funeral arrangements made by Salazar and Sons Mortuary times are pending for April 24th, 2004 at San Felipe Church in Albuquerque, NM times will be announced in the Thursday and Friday Journal . Los Angeles Funeral arrangements made by Armstrong Family Malloy-Mitten Mass on April 27th, 2004 at Our Lady of Loretto Church 250 N. Union Ave., Los Angeles, CA with internment after the Mass at the Sawtell VA Cemetery in Westwood CA.
