LUCERO -- Benny Lucero, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pina "Penny" Lucero; daughter, Dolorita Lucero; three sons, Ron Lucero and wife, Sarah, all of Albuquerque, Danny Lucero and wife, Yolanda of Corrales, and Stan Lucero and wife, Brenda of Los Lunas; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Eustacio Lucero and wife, Rosalie of Rio Rancho; three sisters, Marcella Garcia and husband, Bonifacio of Albuquerque, Kathryn Paroline and husband, Arnold of Monte Bartolo, Monte Bella CA, and Rosalie Lucero of Corrales. Mr. Lucero was a rancher in Cabezon for all his life. He worked for 38 years and retired from PNM Gas Services in 1986. Bennie Lucero was the last line-rider on horseback. He checked gas lines from Star Lake to Albuquerque. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Church, 3828 4th St. NW. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Church with Father Palmo Valente, S.F., Celebrant. Private interment will take place at the Cabezon Cemetery in Cabezon, NM. Pallbearers will be Aaron Lucero, Ben Lucero, Ruy Mackey, Jason Jaramillo, Jake Lovato, Chris Jaramillo and Rick Garcia French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
