GUERIN -- Zita B. Guerin, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Monday, April 5, 2004. She is survived by her sons, Dennis B. Guerin and wife, Norma, of South Carolina, Jacques P. Guerin and wife, Connie, and Joseph J. Guerin and wife, Susan, all of Virginia; daughter, Vanessa Guerin of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Faustin A. Guerin, a retired American Foreign Service Diplomat. In her youth, Zita was a dancer in motion pictures in Hollywood. Later she moved with her family to Latin America where they lived in numerous countries from 1943 to 1966. She was an active member of the Albuquerque Chapter of Pan American Round Table and Our Lady's Outreach at the Church of the Risen Savior. One of her many gifts included her beautiful handmade sweaters. Rosary will be recited Sunday, April 11, 2004, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 12, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Chapel with Father Richard Rohr, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, April 11, 2004 one hour prior to the Rosary. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Senior Living Foundation of the American Foreign Service, 1716 N St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036-2902.
