VIGIL -- Ramon Vigil Sr., 79, a resident of Grants for 44 years, born and raised in San Jose, New Mexico, died on March 22, 2004. He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Coleman and husband, Charles of Silver City, NM, Monica Martinez and husband, Luke of Taos, NM; son, Ramon Vigil Jr. and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, with whom Ramon resided with for the passed 30 years, Richard Medina of Grants, NM; grandchildren, Valerie, Cindy, Natalie, Melanie, Christine, Lisa, Amber, Luke Jr. and Veronica; six great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Padilla and husband, Alfonso of Santa Fe, NM, Virginia Trujillo and husband, Severino of Albuquerque, Angelina Romero of Santa Fe and Judy Ann Ortiz and husband, Ernest of Grants, NM. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ramon was preceded in death by two brothers, Simon Vigil in 1959 and Bernie Vigil in 1977. He was a regular member of the Cibola Senior Citizen Center and a former member of the VFW in Grants, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Grants, New Mexico with Father Alberto Avella, celebrant. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery 2:00 p.m. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300
