PICA -- Catherine L. Pica, 61, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Friday, March 19, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Penrose of Cedar Park, TX; son, Craig Pica of Denver, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Catherine had been an art teacher with the Albuquerque Public Schools, both at the Mid-High and Senior High levels. She won many awards for her beautiful artwork. She had most recently taught with Bright Beginnings Day Care. Catherine was also a Master Gardener, donating much of her time to the Botanical Gardens and New Mexico State Fair. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating.
