ADDY -- John L. Addy, Sr., died Tuesday, February 10, 2004. A resident of his beloved New Mexico where he resided since 1959. Born in Preston, GA in 1924. He was raised in Mississippi and moved to Indiana prior to World War II. Drafted into the service in 1943, he served in London during the Blitz. He returned to Indiana where he met and married his lovely wife, Dorothy Mae Rexing in Evansville, IN. They spent 57 happy years together. They owned and operated Dot's Yarn World in Albuquerque for over twenty years. He worked at Kirtland AFB as a Contract Administrator until retirement. He is survived by his wife and sons Ron, John, Tom and Russ and numerous nieces, nephews, and seven grandchildren. Mr. Addy was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. No services will be held in Albuquerque. Family members will accompany him to Holy Cross Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN, where graveside services will be held Thursday, February, 19, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., with Father Tony Ernst officiating. Services will consist of playing of songs to celebrate their wonderful life together. All of their friends and family are invited to attend the services in Indiana.
