VALDEZ -- Mr. John E. Valdez, 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 10, 2004. Mr. Valdez is the beloved husband of 57 years to Mrs. Louise (Tita) Valdez. Mr. Valdez is also survived by his five children, Johnny Valdez and wife, Marcella, Beatrice Valdez and Dominic Madrid, Steve Valdez, Martha Gilliam and husband, John, Darlene Valdez and husband, Darryl Madrid; sixteen grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and one great - great- grandchild; one sister, Aggie Coen; one brother, Juan Valdez. Mr. Valdez was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Ramoncita Valdez; two daughters, Adela Martinez and Arcy Valdez. Mr. Valdez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Valdez will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Charlie Gallegos. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Lancaster. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Adrian Valdez, Jerry Martinez, Jonathon Gabaldon, Michael Alvarez, Dominic Alvarez and Christopher Alvarez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Patrick Martinez, Sarah Blanco, Madalyn Valdez, Michelle Pino and Darryl Madrid. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW 243-7861
