BARDWELL -- Jim Bardwell, 51, a resident of Edgewood since 1977, a loving husband and father, died Saturday, February 7, 2004 due to complications of an accident on January 13, 2004. He is survived by his wife Karen and daughters Nancy and Ellen of Edgewood, NM; sister CC Caywood and husband Allyn of Sierra Vista, AZ: and father Grady Bardwell of Las Cruces, NM. His mother Ann Bardwell preceded him in death. He graduated from New Mexico State University in Electrical Engineering and worked for SGS Witter for 25 years where he was the Vice President in charge of power system substation design. He was a member of the IEEE and a licensed Professional Engineer in three states. He worked with the Santa Fe County 4H Board and helped with the Santa Fe County Fair. He was also active in the New Mexico Club Barrow Association. He was an Amateur Radio Operator with Amateur Extra Class License KM5GR and had many friends that he had met over the radio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his daughters' education fund through SGS Witter, 1804 A Juan Tabo NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. A memorial service will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Friday, February 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
