MOLLENKOPF -- Shirlee Irene Mollenkopf, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Friday, February 6, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin "Bill" Mollenkopf of Albuquerque; sons, William Howard Mollenkopf and wife Judy of Cortez, Colorado, Bruce Evan Mollenkopf and wife Debby, of Albuquerque; and grandsons Scott and wife Audrey and great-grandaughter, Morgan, Michael, and Adam and wife Nikki. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jared. Mrs. Mollenkopf and her husband established Perfumes of the Desert in Old Town in 1948. Over the years they owned and managed Old Town Indian Trading Post and Old Town Perfume and Candle. She was also very active in Cub Scouting. Mrs. Mollenkopf loved fishing in Lake City, Colorado. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Entombment will follow.
