SUTTLES -- Lena Ellen Suttles, 94, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. Lena was a longtime resident of California. She was born July 11, 1910 the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Belle Green Rice in Lonewolf, Oklahoma. Lena was a retired elementary teacher, beloved by all her students and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville T. Suttles in January 2003. Lena is survived by one sister, Ruth E. Wright; two nephews, Gene F. Rice and wife, Ruth, Jerry Rice and wife, Cheryl; nieces, Ruth Ann Saavedra and husband, Joe, Mary Kay Johnson and husband, Bill; and sister-in-law, Carmen Bryant and husband, Ray. The Visitation will be held today, Saturday, February 7, 2004 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. with the Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
