HUTT -- John Francis Hutt, 70, of Canon passed away on January 22, 2004. He was born on June 16, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a veteran of the Korean War. He earned a BS from Penn State University and was employed by the US Forest Service and worked for the Carson, Santa Fe and Coconino Nation Forest of Flagstaff, AZ, he also worked for Evergreen Lumber Co. in Chama. After his retirement for the Forest Service he earned his Paralegal Degree. He was a substitute teacher for Taos Municipal Schools for 22 years. He was a Religious Education Director for ten years and RCIA Director for two years. Upon his death he was President of Canon Water Users Assoc., mayordomo of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Eucharistic Minister and finance committee. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Elena "Ellie" Hutt, parents, George and Rose Hutt, in laws, Jose and Juanita Valdez. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ambrosia "Ambie" Hutt, daughter, Anita Hutt (Jamie Archuleta) and son, Anthony Joseph Hutt, grandsons, Jerome Hutt and Paul Miera. He is also survived by brothers, George Hutt (Janet) of Holland, PA, Joe Hutt of Ft. Myers, FL, sister, Sister Mary Denise of Immaculata, PA, sisters in law, Ruby Roybal (Ray) of Jaconita, Dolores Barry, Aneda Trujillo (John), brother in law, Daniel Valdez (Norma) all of Nambe, numerous nephews and nieces. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 26, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment to follow at Dolores Cemetery in Canon. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.
