SANCHEZ -- Esmenio (Manuel) Sanchez was called to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Victoria Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Estella Sanchez; daughters, Christine Martin, Lorraine Abeyta and husband, Robert, Patricia Le and husband, Thich, Sandra Sanchez, Teresa Redd and husband, Don. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one sister, Angie Sandoval and husband, Al; one brother, Abelino Sanchez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Esmenio was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church where he was active as a Eucharist Minister and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was also an Ambassador of Our Lady of Fatima. He was a member of the Helen Keso Bible Study. Esmenio retired from the U.S. Postal Service, a Veteran of the Korean War and awarded with one Bronze Star. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Vincent Le, Philip Le, Aaron Geoffrion, Robert Abeyta, Neal Sanchez and Alan Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake De Herrera, Albert Gallegos and also all of the members of St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Therese Conference).
