SLAVIN -- Anna Marie Slavin, 79, loving wife and mother, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 21, 2003. She was a resident of Bermuda Dunes, CA for 5 1/ 2 years formerly of Albuquerque for 37 years. Anna's Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James J. Slavin; three daughters, Kitty Norris and husband, Terry of Bosque Farms, NM, Patcy Ashby and husband, Jimmy of Rio Rancho, NM, Peggy Chank and husband, Larry of Bermuda Dunes, CA; one brother, James W. Helfrich and wife, Barbara of Mentz, TX; four grandchildren, George Bleicher and wife, Jamie, Cody Ashby, Kyle Chank, and Kaley Chank. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE, with Fr. Hugh J. Curran CSB, of Houston TX, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE Albuquerque, NM 87110.
