LAWSON -- James Lawson was born on May 02, 1933 in Pryor Oklahoma. He was raised in Springfield Missouri. He went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2003. He is survived by his wife Pat, four kids, Virginia Humphreys, Evelyn Bothwell, Billy Lawson, Sherry Lawson along with their spouses; ten grandchildren; two great- grandsons; one brother, Jerry Lawson; and one sister, Amy Beth Turner. He enjoyed painting and playing golf. He served in the U. S. Naval Armed Forces for four years between 1952 and 1956. He led many souls to the Lord while serving at Berean Baptist Church in Albuquerque New Mexico for 14 years and at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa Texas for four years. His last span of service was in El Paso Texas at Cielo Vista Church for nine years. He will be greatly missed here on earth, but I'm sure he is in Heaven rejoicing and receiving many awards for his faithfulness and servant hood performed while on earth. Memorial services will be held Monday (12/22/2003) at Cielo Vista Church 3585 North Lee Trevino Dr. in El Paso Texas at 7:00 p.m.
