SWANBERG -- Charles M. Swanberg, Sr., 83, U.S. Army (retired) passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eileen Swanberg; son, Charles M. Swanberg, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lana Waldron; daughter, Jan Beck and husband, Don Beck; granddaughters, Rene Garcia and husband, Fabian Garcia; Sarah and Shannon Beck; and great-granddaughters, Brooke and Janelle Garcia. Charles was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on May 11, l920. Served 24 years in the military, retiring in 1963. Resided in Albuquerque since 1964. Charles was a member of the St. Andrews Methodist Church, at 3905 Martin Rd. SW. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrews. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Andrews. Interment will be Monday, December 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
