ORTIZ -- Margaret Lita Ortiz, 58, very special mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, resident of Albuquerque and former resident of Grants, NM, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2003. She is survived by her Mother, Rita Serna;, her children, Corrina Betenbough, Dorrina Ortiz and Benjamin Ortiz Jr. All of Albuquerque; her former husband, Ben C. Ortiz Sr. of Grants, NM; her son-in-law, Wayne Betenbough; and grandson, Thomas; her grandsons, Brian and Benjamin Ortiz III; and granddaughter, Raeven Ortiz, all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her sisters, Lydia Chavez and family of Albuquerque and Karen Stewart and family of Illinois and Albuquerque. She will be deeply missed by her many family members and her wonderful friends who have helped us so much at this time. She said "Celebrate my life not my death". Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
