SERNA -- Trinidad "Trini" T. Serna, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 17, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. Trini was born on February 5, 1961 in Belen, NM to Salamon and Rosemary Black Griego. Prior to her illness, she worked for a Christian school as an elementary school teacher. She was very passionate about being a teacher and loved her teaching career. Her family was very special to her and she adored spending time with her grandchildren. Trini will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Alex Serna; children, Rosemary E. Serna-Padilla, Jacob Alex Serna, Gabriel Ralph Serna; her parents, Salamon Griego and Rosemary Saiz; brothers and sisters, Martha, Dexter, Yvette, Karen, Frankie, Christopher; her four grandchildren, and a host of friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Rio Communities (105 Avenida Del Fuego) in Belen.
