KALLWEIT -- Eva Kallweit, 98, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 28 years, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2003. Eva was born January 5, 1905 the daughter of Simon and Stiera Fewes Kaplan in Frauenburg, Latvia. She came to New Mexico from Florida. She had been a dressmaker before retiring. She was a member of the Meadowlark Senior Center. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt Kallweit and one son, Robert Kallweit. She is survived by one son, Richard Kallweit of Wilton, CT, daughter-in-law, Hildegard Kallweit of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Cheryl Brown and husband Mark, David Kallweit, and Jesse Kallweit and wife Mercy all of Colorado; and her dear friend and companion, Ronald C. Evans. A Visitation will be held for Eva on Thursday, November 20, 2003 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with the Service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary with Pastor Si Budager officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
